BIOGRAPHY

ANG HIONG CHIOK  翁享祝 

Fujian, China | 1947

After graduating from the Singapore Academy of Arts, Western Painting Department in 1976 he has participated enthusiastically in art activities and has painted diligently. In 1983, Nanyang Academy of Fine Art Alumni Association awarded him with "The Creative Visual Art Award". Ten years later he awarded the "Tan Tze Chor Art Award". In the United Overseas Bank Group, Painting of the Year Competition he was awarded a Distinction among regular High Commendation Awards. High Commendation awards were also given for entries in the IBM Singapore Art Competition.  His paintings have also been shown in many joint exhibitions throughout the years and are well received. Apart from individuals and companies, his collectors include the United Overseas Bank Group, IBM and The National Museum Art Gallery, Singapore.
