Artredot Gallery brings to you “Explore: A Comprehensive Look into 8 Artists”, a collection of artwors by third and fourth generation artists. The 8 artists are Carey Ngai, Wang Mo Ping, Wang Fei, Liu Xuan Qi, Tung Yue Nang, Fan Shao Hua, Ling Yang Chang and Zhu Hong. As graduates of prestigious art schools, these artists have strong foundations in their artistic explorations, these artists have created individual styles that venture beyond tradition. The artworks are showcased at ION Art gallery, Level 4, ION Orchard from 24 March to 1 April 2018.

Rainforest in Contemporary Ink

Expressionistic Symphony is collection of paintings revealing Teo’s current painting aesthetic, focusing on the representation of the rainforest. From windswept mountainscapes and waving trees to tumbling waterfalls at the heart of the rainforest. Each scene is rendered in Teo’s signature expressionistic style lines and colours. The vivid presence of an elusive emotion that whispers a tune in your ear. Each exhibited painting are tied to stylistic movements of a symphony – Adagio, Allegro, Minuet and Sonata. View together they harmonises into a grand arrangement befitting that of a grand symphony.

Contemporary Ink by Tung Yue Nang

Tung Yue Nang, Singapore’s third generation artist, shows maturity in his artistic concepts and is skillful in his handling of the Chinese brush and ink. Tung, a deeply-rooted Singaporean, believes in the promotion of our unique culture and an ardent supporter in the preservation of our way of life. Tung spends a substantial amount of time painting on the spot, and exhibits great assiduousness when observing his vivid surroundings. This enables him to create forceful and emotional works.
