‘厚德载物’ expresses one’s ability of taking on major tasks due to their great virtue. The vibrant hues of orange contrasts with the maroon and brown splashes of paint that makes up the calligraphy piece. One can also observes the strength and vigour in the lines in the expressive and free strokes which is impressive considering the artist’s age.
Lim Tze Peng was conferred the Cultural Medallion in 2003, and received the Meritorious Service Medal at the National Day Awards in 2016.
