Goh Beng Kwan won the first prize at the UOB Painting of the Year in 1982. For his contribution to the visual arts in Singapore, Goh received the Cultural Medallion in 1989. Goh Beng Kwan was part of a joint exhibition titled “Something New Must turn Up: Six Singaporean Artists after 1965” held at the National Gallery Singapore in 2021.
