This is bustling street scene by Mr Lim Tze Peng demonstrates his assertiveness in recording old streets with precision. The bright red on the walls of the architecture, the street vendors, coffee house and Inn （金山旅店）that were at location were all included in this well composed painting. With contrasting dark and light tones of colour, Lim Tze Peng suggested depth and distance. For instance, The shophouses at the back were painted with lighter shades of ink while the building in focus was painted with bolder colours.
