Lee Boon Wang made significant contributions to the local art scene in his lifetime. He lectured at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts for 2 years in the 1950s and served as President of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Alumni from 1982 to 1997. Mr Lee was also a judge in the western art category of the Dr Tan Tze Chor Art competition organised by the Singaproe Art Society.
