Coloured calligraphy creations by Lim Tze Peng mark an important phase in his illustrious career as a professional artist. The intention of incorporating vibrant colours liberally to traditional calligraphy writing is a significant foundation to his famous abstract calligraphy series.
Lim Tze Peng received the Cultural Medallion award in 2013and he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 2016.
In 2019, Cape of Good Hope Art Gallery held a major exhibition of paintings by Lim Tze Peng at ION Orchard titled “The Centenarian Lim Tze Peng”. In 2021, a book of Mr Lim Tze Peng’s life and story titled “Soul Of Ink: Lim Tze Peng At 100” was launched at the Arts House in Singapore.
