81 years old this year, Tan Choh Tee is a famous second generation artist in Singapore. In 1958, he studied at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and in 1987 he attended a masterclass at The Central Academy of Fine Arts in China Beijing.

In 1998, Tan was selected as the first Alumni of NAFA to stay in its apartment in the International City of the Arts in France Paris for three months. It was there that he met artists from around the world and attended tours of major museum in France.

In 2006, Tan Choh Tee was awarded the Cultural Medallion for Visual Arts
