This calligraphy writing describes Lim Tze Peng’s love for the brush and ink, the enjoyment he feels while spending time in the studio, his enduring interest in classical poems from the Tang and Song dynasties.
In 2003 he received the Cultural Medallion award and in 2016, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. In 2019, Cape of Good Hope Art Gallery held a major exhibition of paintings by Lim Tze Peng at ION Orchard titled “The Centenarian Lim Tze Peng”. In 2021, a book of Mr Lim Tze Peng’s life and story titled “Soul Of Ink: Lim Tze Peng At 100” was launched at the Arts House in Singapore.
