80 years old this year, Tan Choh Tee is a famous second generation artist from Singapore. In 1958 he studied at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and attended a masterclass at The Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing China in 1987.

In 1998, Tan Choh Tee was selected as the first Alumni from NAFA to stay at in the school’s apartment in the International City of Arts in France Paris for three months. It was there that he met artists from all around the world and attended tours of major museums in France.

In 2006, Tan Choh Tee was awarded the Cultural Medallion for Visual Arts.
