Marvin completed this piece in 2024 after a trip to Ipoh, Perak with some of his artist friends, where they did some sketching and plein air painting. During their trip, Marvin and his friends also visited the coastal island of Kuala Sepetang, northwest of Perak, Malaysia.

This elegant piece captures the quiet beauty and serene charm of the coastal island through the gentle hues of the blue fishing boats resting along the jetty. The soft ripple and reflection of the water also adds to the tranquility of this piece.
