The forgotten memories series of sculptures by Singaporean artist Lim Leong Seng was a development from his classical representations in the early 2000s and the “Daily Life” series which was completed in 2015. They bring across the idea that as time passes, the memory of the Samsui Women would fade but the artist hopes that the hardworking spirit of these workers would continue to inspire many.
Lim Leong Seng is a prolific sculptor in Singapore, more than 30 life size sculptures of his can be found all around the Island.
