Lau Pa Sat, also known as Telok Ayer Market or "Old Market", is located in the heart of Singapore’s busy Central business district. Built in 1894, it is now a national monument and the largest Victorian filigree cast-iron structure in Southeast Asia. It evolved and changed with the city centre from a fish market in the 1820s to a food and entertainment complex by 1989.
Marvin Chew participated in “Commemorating NS50 Through Art” series of exhibitions in conjunction of 50th Anniversary of National Service in Singapore, jointly organised by Singapore Art Society and Singapore Armed Forces. In 2018, he also participated in the inaugural "International Watercolour Masters Exhibition 2018" at Weston Park, United Kingdom.
