This sentimental wood cut piece by Dr Ho Kah Leong expresses the power of a mother’s unconditional love for her child. The importance of a mother’s love is essential in a child’s life as she teaches them everything she knows, from talking, walking and living a fulfilling life.
Dr. Ho Kah Leong is a celebrated artist and art educator in Singapore. He has been active in the local art scene for more than six decades and is now the Hon Adviser to the Singapore Arts Federation. He rejuvenated his passion and love for wood-cut prints after 50 years and launched a solo wood-cut exhibition in 2018 titled ‘Passion Rejuvenated’. The exhibition included portraits of artists, a series to depict the plight of refugees and scenes of daily life.
