80 years old this year, Ang Ah Tee is a famous second generation artist in Singapore. He received his art education at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore from 1960 to 1962. In 1978, Ang Ah Tee switched from the mediums of watercolour and oil to acrylic. In 2009, Ang Ah Tee was conferred the Cultural Medallion award by the National Arts Council in recognition of his artistic excellence. In 2016, our gallery held a solo exhibition for the artist titled “The Spirit of Bhutan: An Artistʼs vision”. In 2021, another exhibition titled “Changing Perspectives, The New Thinking of Ang Ah Tee” was held at the gallery.
