About the show

Artplus Gallery collaborates with Cape of Good Hope Art Gallery to present a show highlighting oil paintings by four local artists born between the 1930s and 1940s.

Beautiful paintings of the bustling Singapore River by Lee Boon Wang, depictions of hawkers plying their trade at Chinatown by Choo Keng Kwang, a rare illustration of the lotus pond by Tan Choh Tee and portraits of Bali dancers by Koeh Sia Yong would be on display.

Born 1946, Singapore

Background
1962 Teenage years, Swee Leng studied
Chinese brush painting under Lingdong Master
FanChang Tien
1966 Graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine
Arts, Singapore.
- Learnt under renowned Artist Master Shi Xiang Tuo
- Founded Molan Art Association with other artists
and has been actively involved in art activities
locally and abroad since
- Appointed committee member of the Society of
Chinese Artists up to year 1992
1999 Published his dedicated Art book, The Art of
Nai Swee Leng.
