This iconic phrase is from the famous poem 登鹳雀楼 from the Tang dynasty. It expresses the positive attitude of striving to make positive improvements to one’s current situation.
Mr Lim Tze Peng creatively included a variety of colours onto the paper and as a background to his calligraphy writing. This decision adds a new dimension to the traditional art form and attracts a different group of audience to appreciate Chinese writing and painting.
