This painting is inspired by Zhu Hong’s love for travelling, as well as the joy and contentment he feels at the airport.
Zhu Hong is also known for his passionate oil paintings of street scenes in Singapore completed with his liberal style of painting. He would depict scenes of Geylang, Little India or Chinatown. These are the places where he spends time with his family and friends, patronising the famous eateries located at these places.
Zhu Hong has held numerous exhibitions in his career as a professional artist. A show titled “portraits of Singapore was held at Beijing Art Museum and Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre in 2013. Cape of Good Hope Art Gallery held a solo exhibition by the artist titled “Emerging with Colours, Street Scenes of Singapore” in 2019.
