Kampongs hold a special place in Mr Lim Tze Peng’s heart as he once lived in a village at Pasir Ris when he was a young boy. Having fond memories of those times, a good collection of his paintings would depict village scenes. Kampongs are also significant to Mr Lim Tze Peng as he always emphasized on the importance of artists reflecting and expressing their beginnings and roots in their artworks.
